When it comes to expressing myself creatively, I much prefer the spray GUN, rather than the keyboard. That said, Winning Best Spray Tan in Diablo Magazine's Best of the East Bay this past month is a pretty big deal to me. So much so that it has inspired me to take this "creative leap of faith." As you read my first attempt at a blog, please be kind.
We celebrate our two year anniversary this month. I am over the moon grateful to my clients and the people who have supported me these past two years. But earlier this year, when Diablo Magazine announced that voting had begun, my heart jumped a little. Maybe, just maybe, I had a chance of winning this year. Since the birth of Apres Soleil I have been running all over town marketing my little heart out, trying to get people just to try my spray tans. If success is measured by happy TAN clients, I’m feeling quite proud these days. I am blessed with incredible business partners, and family and friends who put up with my endless craziness and offer their support and love.
In celebration of our anniversary, we are throwing a fundraiser to benefit Aim at Melanoma, the largest international melanoma organization. Meet Me in Miami is a south beach themed evening to help raise awareness about early detection and saving lives. #MeetMeInMiami
So what does winning Best Spray Tan by Diablo Magazine readers mean to me? It means Hell Yah! I'm doing something right and my clients know I care about them and how they look. Just the fact that they took the time to vote inspires me to want to do better and continue to spread our natural looking and safe tans to others.
